DAY 7-AT SEA

 Last Night:

At 6pm we went to the Seven Seas Society cocktail party in the theater.  Captain Saro was in the welcoming line at the entrance so we finally got to see him.  I was surprised when he gave me a hug.  I could tell he was very glad to see us.  It was announced that there was one Commodore (over 2000 nights, our friend Peggy Nathan.  I believe they said there were 5 Diamonds, including our friends Joan and Charlie Davis.  There are 23 Titaniums including us.
Yevhenii, one of the orchestra members, was playing again in the Meridian Lounge.  Love his music!
This lovely lady is Sydney Wimes, one of the very talented dancers.  She grew up in Kansas City.  We had a very nice chat with her.
This is Bogdan, one of the two bartenders in the Meridian Lounge, whom we said bye to as we headed out for dinner in Compass Rose.
This is Putu and Putu.  Yes, both have same name and are also Bali Mafia.  The Putu on the left was our wine steward for the evening.  We had requested a table in the waiter, Gede's, section again.
My appetizer was a double order of foie gras.  It is made from duck or goose liver.
This is miso sea bass which we have both been waiting for more than two years to enjoy again.  They marinate it for 48 hours prior to cooking.  For dessert I had two scoops of chocolate ice cream.
We went back to the suite after dinner as did not care to go listen to the show in the theater, a pianist.
We have not been impressed with the entertainers Regent has brought on for shows in the theater.  So far two comedians and two instrumentalists.  How about hiring some singers!  At least the production show cast was fantastic.

Today:

Initially this morning my laptop seemed to be frozen.  I finally got it restarted and is working fine again.  After a slow start early morning the internet is working good now.
Back from the gym, showered, and heading to Prime 7 for lunch.  Captain Saro said on his noon PA that is cloudy and 77 degrees outside today.  Another smooth day of sailing as the Atlantic is basically calm.  Love it!
This afternoon I spent some time picking out some excursions for when we are on our 2023 world cruise.  Tour bookings for it will open on January 7th so just two months from now.  That WC is 143 nights from Miami to Barcelona.  We will be visiting 70 ports so it takes a lot of time to go thought all the tours available at each one.  Adding to the complexity is the fact that we have been to most of these ports on previous cruises and done some of the tours already.  I have a Word document listing each port we have been to by years and what tours were done then.  Thanks to my blogs I was able to put this data together.  Regent's world cruises sell out right away.  We are booked on the 2022, 2023, & 2024 world cruises and they are all sold out.
We had a reservation for this evening at the Asian restaurant, Pacific Rim.  However this morning we had Shogun cancel it.  Like with the French restaurant, Chartreuse, we are not that big on Asian food either.  We much prefer Compass Rose or Sette Mari.

Here is this evening's menu of specials for the day.  The prime rib caught our eye this morning so planning on having it.
There is a pre-dinner show at 5:45 this evening featuring our social hostess, Cherisse.  She sang a song at last night's Seven Seas Society party and has a lovely voice.  We may catch part of the show.  The show at 9:30 in the theater is featuring a stand up comedian from New York City, Cory Kahaney.  We will probably do our back row thing for a quick get-away if she is not that funny.
Well, it about cocktail hour so will publish this post.  We set our clocks back another hour tonight.  The crew loves getting an extra of sleep.

HOMEWARD BOUND

Wonders never cease!  We were scheduled to disembark at 8:30 and we did right on the dot.  Our private car driver, Juan, had texted me...
