DAY 4--AT SEA

 Last Night:

We went down to the Meridian Lounge at 6:15 for a pre-dinner cocktail.  I'm still amazed that not many folks are going there for cocktails.  As you can see almost empty.

Five members of the ship's orchestra were playing.  Sometimes the musicians play too loud in the lounges so you cannot have a conversation but it has been ok the last two nights.

As usual during cocktail hour in the lounges, a couple of the ship's dancers/singers socialize with us passengers.  The beautiful young lady is a dancer and the gentleman said he was the wardrobe manager for them.  They said their first of five production shows would be on November 4th.

Our cocktail waitress was Grace and the young man above is Ketut (another Bali Mafia) who was serving canapes.
We told Chef Deon in Sette Mari that we would be arriving there for dinner at 7pm so headed that way as not to be late.

Skinny was our waiter and Heru (yes Bali Mafia also) was our wine sommelier.  We have known them both for a long time.

Donald is the maitre'd this cruise in Sette Mari.  He had a nice window table at Skinny's station saved for us.  Chef Deon came through with my special veal parmesan order.  Not only was it HUGE but undoubtedly the BEST I have ever had on a Regent ship.  Bravo Chef Deon!!  I could only eat half of it unfortunately.
After our wonderful dinner I headed to the theater and Rebecca joined me there a little later.  Glad we sat on the last row as we did make a hasty exit even before the end of the violinist's first song.  Don't get me wrong, he was very good but we just do not enjoy instrumentalists.

One of the dancers was at the entrance to the theater to greet passengers.  Violinist Oliver Lewis on stage.

Today:
Another good night's sleep for both of us.  Clocks went back an hour.  Shogun brought our breakfast at 8:30.  Then I did some work on this blog post before we went down to the gym for our usual hour on the treadmills.  Back in suite to get cleaned up for lunch.  It is now noon and still waiting for Rebecca to get ready.  Rebecca lost one of her earrings last night (glad it was not an expensive one) so I ran down to the reception desk to see if it had been turned in.  No luck.  She will have to be more careful with putting on and taking off the mask several times during the evenings.
This shows our ship's position at noon today.  As you see it is 70 degrees outside with humidity at 80%.  The winds are under 10 kts but there is a little swell making the ship roll slightly.  Still a nice ride.  The land on right side of photo is the Morocco coast 70 miles away.  We have 250 miles to go before reaching Tenerife in the Canary Islands tomorrow.
When I got back from lunch and my Samsung phone camera photos would not upload to my laptop's Google Photos.  BIG emergency as then could not add photos to the blog.  Just spent hour and half down with Hugo, computer guy in the business center.  He could not solve problem but came up with a work around.  I have to email each photo to myself then upload it.  Takes 10 steps per photo but at least it works.  He said the phone may start transferring photos later.  It worked good up until noon today.  So at least I can get my photos onto the blog again but takes longer.
Rebecca has been reading a Danielle Steel book, "The Good Flight" this afternoon.
                                                                 This is today's t-shirt

We went up to Prime 7 for lunch again today.  This is the lunch menu.  I had a chicken quesadilla and salmon on asparagus.  Both delicious but quesadilla was more than I needed.  I believe you can click on the photos to enlarge them.

This is Reymark from the Philippines.  He looks too young to be working on the ship but said he is 28 years old.

This is the wine case just outside Prime 7.  These you have to pay extra for and there are some REALLY nice wines here.  Of course they serve complimentary wines in all the dining venues.  There is a nice selection to choose from usually 4 reds and 4 whites.  I have been drinking the reds which were very good.
We are looking forward to dinner tonight in Compass Rose with the Executive Concierge, Janina, and the head housekeeper, Pitchi.  In case you wonder what the Executive Concierge does, well she fields all bitching.  You know some people are never happy.  Tonight's show in theater is featuring the comedian/magician, John Lenahan.  This is his second show as will probably be leaving the ship tomorrow.
Well, Shogun just brought our evening canapes.  We asked for another shrimp cocktail.  It is now 5pm so guess what??  Happy Hour in our suite!  Shogun wants to escort us from the Meridian Lounge to Compass Rose just before we are to meet our dinner guests.  Not sure why, but I think Pitchi is his boss.

HOMEWARD BOUND

Wonders never cease!  We were scheduled to disembark at 8:30 and we did right on the dot.  Our private car driver, Juan, had texted me...
